Autumn 2008

Subject Outline
If 31002 Game Design is full, I can try to accomodate extra students by adjusting the quota for the subject. In previous years, all the students who came to the first lecture were able to enroll in the subject. Come to the first lecture and talk to me after the lecture.

Designing and building computer games is a challenging task. Offered at: City campus

As a part of this subject you will critique games, write design documents, create simple text-based adventure games and 2D games.

We will be using Fundamentals of Game Design by Ernest Adams (Author), Andrew Rollings as the main textbook for the subject.

This subject evolves and changes every year, but Autumn 2004 and Autumn 2005 offerings will give you some idea of what to expect.

Please see UTSOnline for information about the current semester.

Final projects from 2004, 2005 and 2006
